Anita Kerins

Anatomy & Physiology, Setu YTT Faculty

Anita is a Chartered Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist with over 20 years of clinical experience across Ireland and Australia. She holds a BSc in Physiotherapy from Trinity College Dublin, with postgraduate qualifications in Acupuncture and Orthopaedic Manual Therapy, and is CORU registered and MISCP accredited.

What makes Anita’s teaching distinctive is the combination of clinical depth and lived practice. As a physiotherapist, Pilates instructor, and a 200hr qualified yoga teacher, she bridges the gap between anatomy on paper and how the body actually moves on the mat, giving you a practical understanding that will inform how you teach for the rest of your career.

What you’ll learn with Anita

  • How the musculoskeletal system works and why it matters for safe, effective sequencing
  • The relationship between movement, breath, and long-term physical health
  • How to adapt your teaching for students with injuries, chronic pain, or limited mobility
  • The physiological foundations that underpin what you’re already practising

Movement is medicine
