Who’s It For?

One of the lovely things about our retreats is the mix of people who come along. On our last trip, guests ranged from their late twenties to their seventies, each bringing their own experiences and perspectives. Some of the best moments happened around the dinner table, sharing stories, ideas and lots of laughs.

You can come on your own or with a friend, and you don’t need to be an experienced yogi. The yoga is accessible to different levels, with space to take things at your own pace.

Yoga retreat Greece - your teacher

Meet Your Teacher

Siobhán came to yoga after a serious car accident, originally hoping to improve her lung capacity. What started as physical recovery became something much deeper – a shift in how she experienced stress, emotion, and stillness. Now, with over 20 years of practice and thousands of hours of teaching, she brings that same understanding of healing and accessibility to every class she leads. Her teaching is rooted in anatomy and physiology, and her goal is simple: make yoga work for every body.

Accommodation & Costs

  • Just back from the most amazing week in Greece with Siobhán at Evia Silence – a perfect blend of yoga, relaxation, and fun. Siobhán’s calming energy made the yoga accessible to everyone, from beginners to advanced. Whether you practiced daily or chose to relax by the pool, there was no pressure – it was your holiday, your choice. Dynamic morning yoga, gentle evening sessions, sea swims, nature walks, and excursions made every day unique and refreshing. The food was fresh, nourishing, and varied, with the option to enjoy a glass of wine or a G&T. The group vibe was warm and welcoming, making solo travellers, couples, and friends feel right at home. I returned feeling nourished, energised, and ready for the months ahead. I’ve already booked my spot for next year – I can’t recommend this escape enough!

We had three hours of yoga a day which was varied and challenging at times but we were expertly guided by Siobhan. The evening yoga was so relaxing. The hotel provided us with nutritious vegetarian food which was delicious. I met an amazing group . The whole experience was so restful and relaxing. Thanks to Siobhan and Megan.

  • I had a fabulous time taking part in Setu's Retreat to Greece in October, everything from booking to the experience itself was seamless. Siobhan and Megan's communication was clear, consistent and reassuring - as this was my first ever time doing such a retreat, i'm quite new to Yoga in general so the pace was really beneficial to me. The yoga left me feeling completely zen, not only did I relax I shared the experience with a wonderful group of ladies with gorgeous memories i'll cherish. The location was fab, amazing food, views and very friendly staff at Evia Silence resort. I'm hoping to be back, thanks again girls! xx

Getting There

We recommend flying into Athens Airport – a shuttle will be organised to take you to the retreat.

The retreat is beautifully secluded but everything you need is close by. The village of Argiro is just 7 minutes away for basics, while Zarakes (25 mins) has shops, tavernas, and a pharmacy. The town of Aliveri (35 mins) has everything else, including a hospital. If you fancy a beach day, the stunning bay of Almiropotamos is just a 20 minute drive.

Frequently asked questions

Is this retreat suitable for complete beginners?

Absolutely. This retreat in Greece welcomes all levels, from total beginners to regular practitioners. There’s no expectation to keep up or push through anything. You’re invited to join what calls to you and rest when you need to. Siobhán’s teaching is rooted in accessibility, making yoga work for every body, not just the flexible ones.

What style of yoga is taught on this retreat?

Mornings open with Vinyasa Flow, a dynamic practice with views of the Aegean Sea. Evenings wind down with Gentle Yoga and Yoga Nidra.

What's included in the retreat price?

For this yoga retreat in Greece, your cost per person includes 7 nights accommodation at the Evia Silence Retreat Center, all yoga sessions, breakfast and dinner daily. Drinks are available at the hotel bar for an extra cost.

What's not included?

Flights to Athens, transfers to and from the airport, travel insurance, lunches, drinks aside from water, personal treatments such as massage, and any personal spending during free time or on our midweek excursion (and transport for this excursion). We recommend budgeting a little extra for meals out and anything that catches your eye along the way.

How do I get to Evia Island from Athens Airport?

We organise a group shuttle directly from Athens Airport to the retreat centre, so you don’t need to worry about navigation or hiring a car. Simply book your flights into Athens (ATH) and we’ll handle the rest from there.

What is the weather like in Evia, Greece in late May and early June?

Late May and early June are generally warm and sunny, making it a lovely time to visit Greece. Temperatures can vary, and evenings may be cooler, so we recommend bringing layers alongside your summer clothes and swimwear.

What should I pack for a yoga retreat?

Bring comfortable yoga clothes, swimwear, sun cream, a hat, walking shoes and light clothing for the warmer days. A jumper or light jacket is useful for cooler evenings, along with anything you like to have for your own yoga or relaxation practice.

Can I book a single room, or is this for couples and groups only?

Solo travellers are very welcome on this yoga retreat in Greece! Many people come alone and leave with friendships they didn’t expect. Single occupancy options are available, and solo bookings are common on our retreats. Get in touch to discuss room options.

Do I need to bring my own yoga equipment?

No, all yoga mats and props are provided at the retreat centre. Just bring yourself and comfortable clothing to move in. If you have a personal mat you love practising on, you’re welcome to bring it, but it’s absolutely not necessary.

How many people will be on the retreat?

We keep group sizes intentionally small, a maximum of 15 to 20 people. This means more personal attention in yoga sessions, a real sense of community by the end of the week.
