Our 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Setu Studio, Galway will empower you to teach yoga professionally and to get a strong grounding in yoga asana, anatomy and Eastern philosophy.
Upon graduation, you will be Yoga Alliance certified to teach inclusive, creative and intelligent Vinyasa Yoga classes, with an emphasis on alignment, form and safety.
It is our sincere desire that this training will equip you with the information and tools to help you bring the practice of yoga to as many members of the community as possible. We believe that yoga truly can be a practice for all. We want to dissolve the myth that yoga is only for flexible people. We want to teach you skills to read bodies and adapt the poses to suit anyone of any age size or ability.

This comprehensive 200-hour training is designed for aspiring yoga teachers and dedicated practitioners looking to deepen their practice. Over the course of the training, you will be guided through a rich curriculum that covers the fundamentals of asana, pranayama, meditation, anatomy, philosophy, and the art of teaching.
Dates: Beginning in March 2026 and finishing May 2027. Exact dates to be finalised*
Location: The majority of training will take place in Setu Studio, Clarenbridge, Co. Galway with some sessions carried out over Zoom.

Study Time: 200hrs
Siobhán Moylan (500hr YTT) is the owner and manager of Setu Studio and has thousands of hours of teaching under her belt. Siobhán will focus on asana sequencing, therapeutics, restorative yoga, pregnancy yoga and the business of yoga.
Kelly Marie (500hr YTT) has over 20 years of experience and is our expert on Ayurveda, pranayama, philosophy, and meditation. Her holistic approach integrates the wisdom of this ancient science with the practice of yoga, offering you a deeper understanding of how to balance body, mind, and spirit.
Anita Kerins (Chartered MSK Physiotherapist MISCP, 200hrs YTT) has over 20 years of experience working as a physiotherapist, and pilates and yoga teacher, which makes her the perfect fit to deliver the anatomy and physiology aspect of this course, ensuring that you gain a comprehensive understanding of the body and its intricate workings.
Our curriculum aims to provide you with a well-rounded and comprehensive foundation for your teaching journey and includes a blend of traditional and contemporary practices, ensuring you develop versatility and depth in your practice and instruction.
Vinyasa Flow
Vinyasa Flow forms the cornerstone of our training and introduces you to a dynamic and creative sequencing of postures linked by the breath. This style focuses on fluid transitions and the synchronisation of movement and breath, cultivating a meditative flow state. You’ll explore how to design and teach cohesive and invigorating sequences that cater to various levels and intentions.
Restorative Yoga
Restorative Yoga offers a deeply nurturing practice that emphasises relaxation and rejuvenation. Using props to support the body, you will learn to create sequences that promote deep rest and healing. This style is ideal for understanding the importance of balance in a yoga practice, highlighting the need for stillness and introspection.
Pranayama and Meditation
Beyond physical postures, our training integrates essential practices of Pranayama (breath control) and Meditation. These elements enhance mental clarity, emotional stability, and overall well-being. You’ll gain practical techniques to incorporate these practices into your classes.
You will leave this training equipped with the knowledge and skills to confidently teach a variety of yoga classes, tailored to meet the needs of your students.
A minimum of one year’s yoga practice and reasonable competence and knowledge (asana, pranayama etc.) is neccessary to be able to partake in the Teacher Training.

Philosophy & History
Dive deep into the ancient wisdom that forms the foundation of yoga practice. This section will cover:
- The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali: Understanding the key principles and teachings.
- The Eight Limbs of Yoga: Exploring Yama, Niyama, Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana, and Samadhi.
- Bhagavad Gita: Insights and practical applications for modern living.
- History of Yoga: Tracing the evolution of yoga from its roots to contemporary practice.
- Ethics of Teaching: Embracing the role and responsibilities of a yoga teacher.
Anatomy & Physiology
Develop a thorough understanding of the human body to enhance your teaching and personal practice. This section will cover:
- Musculoskeletal System: Detailed study of bones, muscles, and joints.
- Functional Anatomy: Understanding movement patterns and how they apply to yoga.
- Injury Prevention: Techniques for avoiding common yoga injuries.
- Body Systems: Exploring the nervous, respiratory, and circulatory systems in relation to yoga.
- Practical Application: Hands-on learning through interactive exercises and demonstrations.
Ayurveda
Integrate the ancient science of Ayurveda with your yoga practice to promote holistic health and well-being. This section will include:
- Basic Principles of Ayurveda: Understanding doshas, gunas, and the elements.
- Ayurvedic Lifestyle: Incorporating daily routines and dietary practices for balance.
- Seasonal Practices: Adapting your yoga and lifestyle according to the seasons.
- Ayurveda and Yoga: Using Ayurvedic principles to enhance your yoga practice.
Asana, Pranayama & Meditation
Gain a well-rounded understanding of the physical and energetic aspects of yoga. This module will equip you to teach safely and skilfully, offering inclusive and adaptable guidance for students of all levels.
You’ll explore:
- Asana: Clear breakdowns of foundational postures, including alignment, modifications, use of props, and sequencing for both dynamic and restorative practices.
- Pranayama: Core breathwork techniques to support focus, vitality, and nervous system regulation.
- Meditation: A variety of accessible practices including mantra, mudra, and breath awareness, along with how to guide others effectively.
Subtle Body: An introduction to the energetic system of yoga, including prana, nadis, chakras, and bandhas, and how these concepts integrate into practice.
Teaching Methodology
Step into the role of a confident and skilled yoga teacher with comprehensive training in how to guide and support your students. This module blends practical experience with essential teaching theory to prepare you for teaching in both studio and online settings.
You’ll learn:
- Class Structure & Sequencing: How to design safe, creative, and well-rounded classes for a range of styles and experience levels.
- Cueing & Communication: Develop clear, inclusive verbal and visual cues to support all students.
- Use of Props & Modifications: Effectively incorporate props to enhance accessibility and encourage student agency.
- The Art of Adjustments: Explore respectful, consent-based hands-on assists that emphasise mobility and personal autonomy.
- Professional Development: Introduction to the business of yoga, including ethics, boundaries, liability, and community-building.
- Teaching Practicum: Refine your teaching skills through peer-led sessions, sequencing exercises, and observation. The module culminates in a public community class led by you and your peers!
